Our Responsibility Mission
Our goal is to promote a slower pace of life both in our everyday lives and in how we make and consume stuff. As a surf brand we have a greater responsibility to do business in a way that is environmentally and socially responsible, often a difficult balance. Our approach is to keep things local wherever possible and to make better quality goods that last much longer while being committed to local manufacturing and agriculture. Although we are by no means perfect we are always working on lowering our impact on the environment, doing good by the people that make our products and giving back to our local surf community.

African Cotton
Our tees are made with cotton sourced from African farms. By choosing African cotton we are contributing to the livelihoods of a diverse range of farmers across the continent. Our commitment to African cotton supports farmers in their journey toward adopting more sustainable farming practices that conserve water, use natural pesticides and yield higher crop output.
-
Ethically Manufactured
Our garments are locally made in Cape Town, South Africa in a factory that treats their workers fairly. Skilled workers, predominantly woman, receive fair wages and work standard hours in good working environments. Through our commitment to local industry we reduce freight related emissions while supporting the local economy, jobs and communities.

Take Back Program
We take responsibility for everything we make. Our goal is to produce the highest quality garments that will eventually become vintage pieces and hopefully avoid the landfill. If for whatever reason you are done with your tee or it gets damaged get it back to us to receive 10% off your next purchase. We'll then either resell it as vintage, repurpose it to be reworn or responsibly dispose of it in a specialised recycling facility. *Currently only available in Cape Town, South Africa.

Sharing the stoke
We believe in cultivating a surf culture that is inclusive and welcoming. Everyone should be able to experience the healing benefits and joy from being in the ocean. That’s why we have committed to donating at least 1% of our annual sales to local surf programmes. These programmes give young people from under resourced communities the opportunity to experience the ocean in a safe space while better preparing them for the difficulties they face in their everyday lives.
